They are not nearly transparent enough and no amount of smoothing with a credit card will make them look nice after being applied. They are the same material as the factory applied protectors that you remove from your phone out of the box.
The package also suggests for best results that you use water when applying them. Yes, they suggest that you use water on your $500 smartphone.
Do yourself a favor and buy the adhesive/crystal style protectors and skip these ones.
