The problem lies in the application. Unless you have access to a certified "clean room," if you don't get it right the first time, there *will* be lint/dust/fingerprints in the adhesive which will show through the protector. Yes, you could probably get a "cling" style protector, but the friction on one of those is probably much higher than these - with one of the iFrogz protectors the touch screen works as well(or maybe even slightly better) than the bare glass.
Before putting the protector on, make sure that you've *really* cleaned the screen with the provided microfiber cloth and make sure to apply the protector straight and it's fantastic.
